The Modern Filipina crew recently heard about the Cream Silk Triple Keratin Rescue. We were amazed at what Cream Silk’s new line claims: it combines the benefits of three Keratin products in one conditioning system.
The Triple Keratin Rescue has relaxers to tame frizz, serum to revive damaged hair, and shine essence to restore dull tresses.

Naturally, we had the urge to put the products to the test. Two of our girls tried the Cream Silk Triple Keratin Rescue line for several days.
Pauline on the Cream Silk Triple Keratin Rescue Ultimate Repair & Shine
From afar, Pauline has long gorgeous dark hair. But hair coloring and chlorine exposure from frequent swimming have left her hair severely damaged. Up close you’d see the damage at the tips and feel it when you run your fingers through her hair.
We asked her to use the Cream Silk Triple Keratin Rescue Ultimate Repair & Shine and share her views on it.
First Impressions
MF: What was your first reaction to the product’s cost?
Pauline: Super cheap! So I was like, “@#$&! Why is it cheap?” It was only P259 (the 340ml bottle) even if it is claiming so much.
MF: . . . the packaging?
Pauline: The color scheme is great. I like the color scheme because black and gold [together] looks so luxurious. Anything with black works for me.
MF: . . . the conditioner’s look?
Pauline: It looked like other conditioners to me.
MF:. . . the conditioner’s feel?
Pauline: Same as other conditioners.
MF:. . . the conditioner’s scent?
Pauline: Personally, I don’t like perfume-like scents ‘cause my hair’s so long, so the scent clings to me even after I take a bath.
Obviously, Pauline’s first impression of the Ultimate Repair and Shine weren’t too spectacular but things took a turn when she used the product.
Beyond First Impressions
Two days into using the product, Pauline eagerly messaged us to say, “My hair is naturally soft and easy to finger-comb. What is this sorcery?”
When interviewed about her experience after a few more days, here’s what Pauline had to say.
“When I started using the product since day 1, I felt that my hair started to be more manageable.
My hair is damaged because I regularly swim and the pools are over-chlorinated. The chlorine mixed with my hair dye so my hair became straw-like and breakable.
I feel like [Cream Silk Triple Keratin Rescue Ultimate Repair & Shine] fixed [my hair]. It’s now easy to run my fingers through [it]. I couldn’t do that when my hair was damaged from the chlorine ‘cause they were like sticking together.
I was entertaining getting my hair cut ‘cause I [thought that I] couldn’t salvage [it]. Now I don’t think I need to. My hair isn’t gross anymore.”
Pauline adds, “It was really easy to use. The instructions say I only had to leave the conditioner on for 1 minute, but opted to leave it for 2.”
The Cons
No product is perfect. Pauline had a few cons to give:
“The product was hard to find because stores with stocks quickly run out. I had to look in the outer reaches (of Metro Manila) and was able to buy a bottle at Watsons in SM Fairview’s Watsons.”
She also added, “It’s hard to rinse from your skin.”

MF: Would you continue using the product?
Pauline: Yah, pwede siyang ulit-ulitin, especially for when I need to go swimming. It’s hard to find good conditioners for swimming that are affordable. Since my hair is long, I need a lot of conditioner to cover my hair so sulit na product ‘to for me.
MF: Would you recommend it to other people?
Pauline: [For people] with severely damaged hair. Yeah.
MF: Your final verdict.
Pauline: Cost-effective. It works. Would use it again, especially for when I’m going swimming.

The Results
From afar, Pauline’s hair looks remarkably tamed. There are less hair strands straying and her hair looks a lot softer. The tips fall down straight unlike before where they were curling up.

Up close, you can see how Pauline’s tips look softer and how there are less strands sticking out or heading a different direction. Her hair also looks glossier with more natural colors showing through.

Sharee on the Cream Silk Triple Keratin Rescue Ultimate Straight
Like Pauline, Sharee has waist-long hair. Her difficulty with maintaining its health and look is that she walks to work, almost 2km around Makati’s urban jungle. Her hair is regularly exposed to pollutants making it frizzy.
She tried the Cream Silk Triple Keratin Rescue Ultimate Straight and here’s her take on it.
First Impressions
MF: What was your first reaction to the product’s cost?
Sharee: Honestly, I was surprised that it wasn’t that expensive. I bought the big bottle, ‘di siya mabigat sa bulsa. It would last me a few weeks. Eh, ang kapal-kapal at haba ng buhok ko.
MF:. . . the packaging?
Sharee: It looks sosyal! It looks luxurious. The packaging was A+. The packaging’s upside down design makes it easier to dispense the conditioner and the bottle stands on its own.
MF:. . . the conditioner’s look?
Sharee: It was OK.
MF:. . . the conditioner’s feel?
Sharee: I felt like it was different from Cream Silk’s normal conditioner… This one had a thicker gritty feeling but it wasn’t a turn off for me. It was just different. It kinda shows that there’s definitely something different about this conditioner, which is nice.
MF: . . . the conditioner’s scent?
Sharee: It smelled sweet and fragrant.
Beyond First Impressions
“The product’s scent had the biggest impact on me. Mabango siya. I walk to work every day. I leave home at 9 am so I would be surrounded by so many people on my walk to work. And I walk along the highway, so it’s windy and smoky. But when I arrive at the office, my hair would still smell good. And it stays throughout the day. Even if I walk back to my dorm, my hair still smells good . . .
And it’s easier to comb. I have a problem with my baby hair. They stand a lot, but they’re more tamed now.
Plus, the product is very easy to use. It quickly coats my hair for some reason, so all the strands are easily covered – which is good because I’m always in a rush in the morning. It’s also easy to rinse, it doesn’t create too much suds, which is a plus.”
The Cons
When asked about the cons Sharee said, “Nagkakaubusan siya. Pauline helped me find a bottle. She had to ask Watsons to reserve a bottle for me and the only stock left was the big bottle.”

Sharee: Uubusin ko yung bote!
MF: Would you recommend it to other people?
Sharee: I WOULD! ‘Cause I witnessed it work on other people. It worked on my hair, too and my hair is historically maganit. Actually, my Tita recommended this to me as well. It worked on her hair, too.

The Results
Sharee’s hair is significantly straighter. Her hair’s waves are flatter and most of the strands are gravitating toward the center. Considering that the lighting was stronger when we took the before photo, you can definitely see that her hair is shinier and sleeker.
