As a person with perpetually dry lips, lip balm is my best friend. I carry it around whenever, wherever to remedy my chapped lips. Currently, I’m addicted to Maybelline’s Baby Lips Cherry Kiss because it’s so smooth and the red tint is perfect for my go-to red lip look. I’m also a big fan of the cherry flavor.

Cherry seems to be the standard flavor of lip balms along with strawberry, lemon, grapes and, if you’re lucky — blueberry.

But this is the 21st century and being weird is the new normal. The principle not only applies to clothes or hairstyles; even lip balms come in strangest flavors:

Mac and Cheese

Cheese that moisturizes your lips? Yes, it’s possible.

I stumbled upon one of these while I was shopping in a local store at Glorietta. I was looking for a gift for a friend when I found a Mac and Cheese flavored lip balm in the makeup section. The packaging was really cute, and I thought it’s a good knick-knack for a makeup lover.

When you try it out, it smells like the packet of cheese that comes with Kraft’s Macaroni and Cheese boxes. It also has a slightly thick consistency with salt-flavored particles, giving that cheesy feel on your lips.

Bacon

Meat lovers, rejoice! Your breakfast favorite also comes in lip balm form!

The product, which promises to “grease up those lips” (YAAAS) is not only great for those suffering from chapped lips, but is perfect for bacon lovers. While the product tastes just like bacon, it’s not bacon-infused so no biting!

I remember finding one of these gems in my cousin’s pile of makeup. The Coca-Cola one smelled strongly of the favorite go-to beverage. When I tried it on, it DID taste of Coke—seriously. All it lacked was the signature fizz.
