8 Fictional Guys You're Sure to Fall in Love With

Every woman has her perfect man. He might be tall dark and handsome, or funny and smart, or Chris Evans— to each her own. Regardless of who he is or what qualities he should have, women spend a great deal of their lives trying to find him. Where is the man you will fall in love with, though? When will you fall in love with him? Unfortunately, we really can’t answer these questions.

For the meantime, there are men who (although they may have their own leading ladies) you’re sure to fall in love with over and over again— the fictional men of our dreams. If you haven’t found The One yet, these guys can work as very good substitutes (and they will literally never hurt you, either!). You can even imagine that you’ll live happily ever after all you want.

Note: Since we’re talking fiction, let’s disregard the endings of some of these stories (don’t ruin the fun!)

8 Fictional Guys You’d Love to Fall in Love With

8. Harvey Specter (Suits)

Suave, brilliant, looks great in a suit. What more could you ask for? With quick wit and something to say everytime, there’s no one who spells high class sophistication like Harvey Specter. Any Modern Filipina would swoon over this dashing character: calm and collected, but doesn’t always play by the rules; talented and classy, but also a risk-taker.

7. Matty Flamhaff (13 Going on 30)

Who can ever forget shy, sweet Matty in this early 2000s romcom? He was with Jenna from the beginning and even until the end, he was there to back her up. Doesn’t every girl deserve a guy as kind and understanding as Matty? (Even as a kid, he was already super sweet! Hello, dream doll house complete with miniature you!)

6. Noah Calhoun (The Notebook)

8 Fictional Guys You're Sure to Fall in Love With

Remember when this crazy guy climbed up a ferris wheel and refused to go down until Allie would agree to go on a date with him? That same guy waited for her, fixed up the old house all by himself for her, wrote her everyday with no hope of any reply, and even when they were old, never stopped loving her. Now, if you haven’t fallen in love with him yet, go watch the movie or read the book again. I swear: Allie is the luckiest girl on Earth.

5. Augustus Waters (The Fault In Our Stars)

While on the topic of sweet guys who would do anything for their girls, it would be unjust not to include this charming, cool and confident guy. Augustus Waters never held back from showing affection for Hazel Grace, and if you’ve read the book or seen the movie, you’ll know that this guy’s love has no limits. And I mean, really -who wouldn’t fall in love with someone whose only wish is to make you happy?

4. Finnick Odair (The Hunger Games)

8 Fictional Guys You're Sure to Fall in Love With

It seems the YA novel category has a couple of guys worth falling for. In Suzanne Collins’ hit, “The Hunger Games”, there’s this guy Finnick who’s definitely a crushable one. This hunky and handsome (quite risqué) guy is great for the eyes, of course, is physically strong. Beyond everything, though, his arrogance is really just a front for his heart of gold. There’s nothing truer than his dedication and commitment to his one and only love.

3. Tim Lake (About Time)

Rachel McAdams is probably one of the luckiest women ever for having another one of her leading men in this list! Nerdy, timid but way cute, Tim is one of the most loveable fictional men ever! If a guy uses his secret time travelling powers over and over again just to meet you, how can you resist? He’s so adorably awkward and is willing to give up the most important things for her. (Plus that montage in the London tube station? #RelationshipPeg please).

2. Patrick Verona (10 Things I Hate About You)

Bad boys are always attractive. Such is the case with this rebel-without-a-cause cool guy, Patrick Verona. Although he started off with a bad rep, this charming and sexy guy caught Kat’s (and our) attention! Coming clean with his feelings, doing a complete 180 for her, and confessing his love for her — those are the manliest things about him. (Also, his rendition of “Say” is to die for).

1. Mr. Darcy (Pride and Prejudice)

8 Fictional Guys You're Sure to Fall in Love With

Classic “OMG-he’s-such-a-douche-but-secretly-the-sweetest-guy-on-Earth”, Mr. Darcy has been making generation after generation of Modern Filipinas fall head over heels for him! ‘Don’t judge a book by its cover’ is the perfect saying for this character because, as the story goes, Elizabeth could not have been any more wrong about a man (we can’t blame her, though – who would’ve known?). One of the most dedicated men in literary history, Mr. Darcy is definitely one of our perfect dream guys.

Sometimes falling in love with a fictional guy can be funner than falling in love for real (check out Why Falling In Love With a Fictional Character > Falling in Love with a Real Man Sometimes), and when it’s with these guys, you can definitely bet on it!
